About us
DRDA, Tezu is an autonomous body, which was established during the year 1983 to act on the rural development activities in its jurisdiction. Earlier this DRDA included the entire Anjaw and Namsai Districts.
Lohit district situated in the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh hasa total geographical area of 5,212 Sq. Km. The district has three administrative circles named Sunpura, Tezu, Wakro. It comprises of 02 CD Blocks i.e. Tezu & Wakro. It also comprises 03 Zilla Parishad segments namely, Sunpura, Tezu, and Wakro with 34 Gram Panchayat constituencies. The maximum part of the district is plain areas.
In 2011, Lohit had a population of 49,776 of which males26365 and females 23,441 respectively.
The main function of the DRDA is to implement and supervised various centrally/State sponsored programmes for poverty alleviation in rural areas. As per SECC 2011data, the benefitwas given to all the Poor Masses of the district under various centrally/State sponsored schemes as instructed by the Govt, from time to time.

Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act ( MG-NREGA)
OBJECTIVE
The basic objective of the ACT is to enhance livelihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work. This work guarantee can also serve other objectives: generating productive assets, protecting the environment, empowering rural women, reducing rural-urban migration, and fostering social equity, among others.

PRADHAN MANTRI AWAAS YOJANA (GRAMIN)
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi launched this scheme on 20th November’2016. The new Rural Housing Programme is designed to needs and aspirations of the households. With a higher unit cost, it allows for construction using local materials and local house design. The home will have a cooking area, toilet, LPG connection, Electricity connection, and water supply through convergence and beneficiaries can plan their homes as per their needs. The selection of beneficiaries has been through a rigorous process using socio-economic and caste census (SECC). Data for those who are homeless or in 0,1,2,3 categories were selected.

PRADHAN MANTRI KRISHI SINCHAYEE YOJANA 2.00 (PMKSY)
The main objective of the programme is to improve the productive potential of rainfed /defeated land through integrated watershed management to strengthen community-based local institutions for promoting livelihoods & watershed sustainability and to improve the efficiency of watershed projects through cross-learning and incentive mechanisms.
