ARUNACHAL PRADESH ENERGY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY

Introduction:-

Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (APEDA) is an Agency of the State Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh registered under Societies Registration Act 1860. It was established in 1996. APEDA is generally provided with Grants-in-Aid by the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh to meet its expenditure on Direction and Administration, maintenance of Assets, and also to meet the State share of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (C.S.S.) of Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE). APEDA is governed by a governing body, which is chaired by a Chairman appointed by the State Govt. from time to time. It is a State Nodal Agency Implemented for New & Renewable Energy Programmes, Policies & Schemes Sponsored by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India, New Delhi for Clean Development Mechanism. APEDA is also a State Designated Agency under Energy Conservation Act 2001. It is an organization backed by engineers, but it is slightly different in its working and set up from other works departments, being an autonomous body governed by a Governing body and being a scientific organization rather than a department.

APEDA Tezu Division was created in the year 2011 with its jurisdictions covering following districts
