About us

Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Department which was introduced its services during the year of 5th December 1975 and started its functioning in the state. Initially, it was functioning with 02 (two) buses at Tirap District from Khonsa to Naharkatia of Dibrugarh District of Assam.

Lohit District has got the first Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Service from the year 1985. Now at present, APST Department Tezu has a fleet strength of 10 (ten) Nos os Buses covering 10 (ten) routes connecting Itanagar, Tinsukia, Longding, Khonsa and Anjaw District in the state as well as all the Administrative Headquarter of the district, which is carrying goods and essential commodities. Since the department is an essential Services and also a revenue earning department, the Prime motto is of providing safe, regular, reliable and economical bus Services. APSTS strives to provide safe and affordable public Transport service to the common people of the district. Daily day and night super Luxury Bus (Volvo) is plying connecting Itanagar to Tezu.
