A INAUGURATIONAL REPORT ON CLC

Dated :- 17th Dec’2019,  The Tezu ULB has established the city Livelihood Centre at Shopping Complex – I, Tezu under Deendayal Antodoya Yojana – National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM). The centre was inaugurated on December 17 by DC-cum-Chairman, DUDA, in the presence of Executive Engineer, All department HOD’s, Labor Union, All Women Welfare Society, Green Women Society, Gaon Bura.

photo1Speaking on the occasion, the DC-cum-Chairman, DUDA said “most of the times the SHGs members face difficulty in finding a market, the centre will help them find potential buyers. They can also access information and business support services when needed.

DC-cum-Chairman, DUDA said the SHGs member the City Livelihood Centre will providing a platform to the Urban poor whereby women Self Help Groups members can offer their goods and services in on organized manner to the potential buyers and various public utility services can be extended by skilled human resource. The CLC will also be positioned as resource centre for the those seeking information related to employment and skill training opportunities etc.

In the same vein, SHG member Miss. Mosenlu Tayang told “We have always found difficulty in finding a place for our products in the market. The established shops give a tough competition and various middlemen try to manipulate us for their own gain. The best thing about this City Livelihood Centre is that there’s no involvement of middlemen.”
