About us

The Deputy Director (ICDS) District ICDS Cell, Lohit District, Tezu under Women and Child Development Department, started its functioning w.e.f. 15th May, 1989. Since from its inception , the following schemes being implemented to ensure its effective delivery of the services and management of ICDS, evaluation & monitoring, imparting training to Anganwadi Workers/Helpers, coordination with the ICDS Projects.
Under the supervision of Lohit District, there are only 2(two) ICDS Projects, being functioning in Tezu and Wakro Circle, covering the number of Anganwadi Centres with Anganwadi Workers & Helpers

FUNCTIONING OF, ONE STOP CENTRE (OSC), IN LOHIT DISTRICT

Mission Shakti is a scheme in mission mode aimed at strengthening interventions for women’s safety, security and empowerment. Mission Shakti has 2 subs scheme – ‘Sambal’ and ‘Samarthya’. In the ‘Sambal’ sub scheme, which is for safety and security of Women, the existing scheme of One Stop Centre (OSC), Women helpline (WHL), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) have been included with modifications and new component of Nari Adalat.
The One Stop Centre will be the Mainstay of the Sambal Sub- scheme as well as of all activities at the district level the Scheme of OSC is being implemented since 1st April, 2015 to provide integrated support and assistance to Women affected by Violence and in distress, both in private and public spaces under one roof and facilitate immediate, emergency and non emergency access to a range of services including Medical, Legal, Temporary Shelter, Police assistance, Psychological and Counseling support to fight against any forms of Violence against Women.
Under the supervision of Deputy Director ICDS Cell, Lohit district, Tezu, the One Stop Centre started its functioning w.e.f 10th Aug’ 2020, since from its conception, the scheme being implemented to ensure its delivery to the service to Women.
